Privacy by architecture

Privacy by architecture means the system cannot surveil even if someone wanted it to. It's not a policy. It's not a promise. It's structural. Non invasive advertising that's non-invasive because the invasion capability doesn't exist in the code.

Most companies approach privacy as policy. A privacy team writes a document. Legal reviews it. Marketing publishes it. A board can reverse it in a Friday afternoon meeting. That's how Cambridge Analytica happened — the policy allowed it because the architecture enabled it.

At Moodvies, every session is anonymous and ephemeral by default. There is no device fingerprinting. There is no cross-session tracking. There is no behavioral inference model. There is no passive detection of any kind — no cameras, no microphones, no scroll tracking, no click inference.

The only emotional data in our system exists because a user voluntarily declared it. They said how they feel. We matched a movie to that feeling. When the tab closes, we don't know they were here. That's not a privacy promise — it's how the code works.

A user can choose to save their mood profile by providing an email. This is explicit, informed, opt-in consent. The profile only activates when the user requests it. No dark patterns. No pre-checked boxes. No data collection before the ask.

This matters for enterprise partners because it means our data is legally durable. Every signal in our system was given voluntarily. There is no regulatory risk from the data itself — only from how a partner might use it. That's a fundamentally different risk profile than behavioral ad platforms sitting on mountains of passively collected data.

Consent based advertising isn't a marketing angle for us. It's the product. First party declared signal. Non invasive internet. The user is a participant, not a subject. A future board can't change that without rebuilding the entire platform. That's the point.
